ABSTRACT
Abstract The cathode is the most valuable battery component rich in precious metals and, thus, leading recycling target spent lithium-ion batteries. In particular, emerging development of direct techniques requires non-destructive as feedstock; however, posing a challenge to effectively strip powders without destroying structure after disabling binders. this study, we compare four stripping methods, including solvent dissolution & magnetic stirring, sonication, heat treatment curling-uncurling, and resonant acoustic vibration. Our results show that vibration-based achieves an efficiency up 92%, introducing impurities such small aluminum fragments powders. These findings demonstrate potential for scaling powder recovery Li-ion
