ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to develop a new method align the patient setup lasers in radiation therapy treatment room and examine its validity efficiency. laser alignment realized by device composed both metallic base plate few acrylic transparent plates. Except one, every has either crosshair line (CHL) or single vertical that used for alignment. Two holders radiochromic film insertion are prepared find isocenter. right positions can be found optically matching shadows all CHLs gantry head device. reproducibility, accuracy, efficiency dependency on position error light source were evaluated comparing means standard deviations measured positions. After optical lasers, isocenter was collimator star shots, then translated parallel In reproducibility test, mean deviation wall mm whereas they conventional method. accuracy 1.4 method, 2.1 walls. test error, shifted just similar amount shift but it greatly magnified study, devised successfully. provided more accurate, reproducible, faster than PACS numbers: 87.56.Fc, 87.53.Bn, 87.53.Kn, 87.53.Ly, 87.55.Gh
