ABSTRACT
Genetic diversity and phylogenetic reflect the evolutionary potential history of species, respectively. However, levels spatial patterns genetic wildlife at regional scale have largely remained unclear. Here, we performed meta-analyses in Chinese terrestrial vertebrates based on three markers investigated their a dated tree 2461 species. We detected strong positive correlations among mitochondrial DNA-based diversity, species richness. Moreover, harbored higher South China Southwest than other regions. Last, climatic factors (precipitation temperature) had significant effects while altitude human population density negative impacts most cases. Our findings will help guide national-level conservation plans post-2020 biodiversity framework.
