ABSTRACT
We explored the potential for membrane materials to reduce energy and carbon requirements separation of aliphatic hydrocarbon feedstocks products. developed a series fluorine-rich poly(arylene amine) polymer membranes that feature rigid backbones with segregated perfluoroalkyl side chains. This combination imbues polymers resistance dilation induced by immersion without loss solution-based fabrication techniques. These exhibit good liquid-phase alkane isomers at ambient temperatures. The integration these polymeric into fuel chemical feedstock processes was investigated in experiments. Technoeconomic analyses based on experiments indicate best-performing can substantially costs associated emissions separations (two 10 times, depending product specifications).
