ABSTRACT
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to evaluate relationship between BMI at menarche and selected growth spurt parameters, such as age take-off pubertal (ATO), peak height velocity (APHV), duration (APHV-ATO), rate. Methods: group consisted 243 girls aged 10-16 years. Several measurements body weight have been taken for each girl during girls' development (longitudinal study). Nutritional status has assessed using IOTF (Cole et al. 2000; Cole 2007). Girls were asked about their menarche. To investigate rate, TO PHV calculated AUXAL.3 software a structural model JPA2. Statistical analyses made in Statistica 12.0 Kruskal-Wallis test multiple regression analysis. Results: mean entire 12.59 (Me = 12.52, Min 9.9, Max 16.2). There significant statistical level decreased significantly with increasing levels nutritional (H 33.2, p < 0.001). Also, occurred earlier higher values indicator (TO: H 12.25, 0.05; PHV: 0.05). Conclusions: is related rate biological maturation girls. Higher associated an occurrence menarche, PHV.
