ABSTRACT
Increased translation of p27 mRNA correlates with withdrawal cells from the cell cycle. This raised possibility that antimitogenic signals might mediate their effects on expression by altering complexes formed mRNA, regulating its translation. In this report, we identify a U-rich sequence in 5′ untranslated region (5′UTR) is necessary for efficient proliferating and nonproliferating cells. We show number factors bind to 5′UTR vitro manner dependent element, availability cytosol controlled growth- cycle-dependent fashion. One these HuR, protein previously implicated stability, transport, Another hnRNP C1 C2, proteins processing specific subset mRNAs expressed differentiated lovastatin-treated MDA468 cells, mobility associated C2 changed, correlated increased expression. Together, data suggest RNP complex may regulate be target signals.
