ABSTRACT
<h3>Methods</h3> This quasi-experimental study was performed in ten randomly selected villages (intervention n=5, control n=5) rural Arak, Iran during 1389/2–1389/5. The healthy lifestyles were assessed using a multi-dimensional instrument designed for elderly persons. A self-designed questionnaire assessing the aims of (approved by number academic members) also used. intervention included: physical activity, advice on food and other aspects health lifestyle management. aforementioned questionnaires completed educational actioned 3 month later. After data collected again. obtained analyse SPSS software at significant level α=0.05 with t test. <h3>Results</h3> There 408 participants n=212, n=196) who participated both baseline post-intervention surveys. 221 (54.12%) male 187 female (45.8%). mean age 71.3 years (SD=9.9) majority range 60–65 (31.8%). Many respondents illiterate (43.9%). score all parts experimental group increased significantly following intervention. older peoples knowledge grade from 28.6 (SD=7.4) to 35.9 (SD=6.8) (p&lt;0.001) education.
