ABSTRACT
Objective Although a few reports suggested that cognitive function impairment could be found in adult patients with moyamoya disease (MMD), there were still many aspects are unclear. The aim of our study was to assess the MMD and its clinical subtypes. Methods 49 23 healthy controls asked take tests. Cognitive tests included IQ, prospective memory (PM), immediate (IM), verbal fluency (VF), visual breadth, attention, retrospective (RM), Stroop test, Wisconsin Card Sorting Test, Trail-Making Test Part A (TMT-A) Continuous Performance (CPT). Independent t-analysis, one-way analysis variance Pearson correlation used seek for differences between subgroups variables. Results Compared controls, had comprehensive impairment, including PM, VF, RM, Stroop, CPT TMT-A, more serious PM attention. RM separated, indicating they independent each other. Pattern attention significantly different from controls.
