ABSTRACT
We discuss a possible interpretation of the $750$ GeV diphoton resonance, recently reported at LHC, within class $SU(2)_L\times SU(2)_R\times SU(4)$ models with gauge coupling unification. The unification is imposed by underlying non-commutative geometry (NCG), which in these extended to left-right symmetric completion Standard Model (SM). Within such \textit{unified} Higgs content restrictively determined from NCG, instead being arbitrarily selected. show that observed cross sections involving resonance could be realized through SM singlet scalar field accompanied colored scalars, present unified models. In view this result we rigidity NCG framework and wider implications approach for physics beyond SM.
