MPLS-TE and MPLS VPNS with openflow

ABSTRACT
We demonstrate MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS-TE) and MPLS-based Virtual Private Networks (MPLS VPNs) using OpenFlow [1] NOX [6]. The demonstration is the outcome of an engineering experiment to answer following questions: How hard it implement a complex control plane on top network controller such as NOX? Does global vantage point in make implementation easier than traditional method implementing every switch, embedded data plane? implemented major feature MPLS-TE MPLS-VPN just 2,000 lines code, compared much larger code more approach, Quagga-MPLS. Because maintains consistent, up-to-date topology map, features are quite simple implement. And its simplicity makes easy extend: have easily added several new features; something operator could do customize their meet customers' needs.
