Children and young people make extensive varied use of digital online technologies, yet issues about how their personal data may be collected used by platforms are rarely discussed. Additionally, despite calls to increase awareness, schools often do not cover these topics, instead focusing on safety issues, such as being approached strangers, cyberbullying or access inappropriate content. This paper presents the results one activities run part eleven workshops with 13-18 year olds, using co-designed encourage critical thinking. Sets 'data cards' were stimulate discussion sharing selling technology companies. Results highlight desire need for increased awareness potential uses amongst this age group, makes recommendations embedding into school curriculums well incorporating it interaction design, allow informed decisions lives.
