ABSTRACT
Nanoscale wireless networks are expected to revolutionize a variety of domains, with significant advances conceivable in in-body healthcare. These nanonetworks will consist energy-harvesting nanodevices passively flowing through the bloodstream, taking actions at certain locations, and communicating results more powerful Body Area Network (BAN). Assuming such setup electro-magnetic nanocommunication Terahertz (THz) frequencies, we propose network architecture that can support fine-grained localization nanonodes, as well their two-way communication outside world. The main novelties our proposal lie utilization location-aware Wake-up Radio (WuR)-based paradigms, Software-Defined Metamaterials (SDMs), for supporting envisioned functionalities THz-operating nanonetworks. We argue that, on high level, proposed handle large number while simultaneously dealing short range THz propagation highly constrained nanonodes.
