ABSTRACT
To compare breath-hold, three-dimensional, gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance (MR) angiography with phase-contrast MR in the evaluation of renal artery stenosis.Fifty-five consecutive adult patients clinical suspicion renovascular disease were prospectively examined and three-dimensional injection a standard dose gadopentetate dimeglumine to evaluate number arteries presence degree stenosis. The reference was intraarterial digital subtraction angiography.Gadolinium-enhanced depicted all 105 main arteries, whereas 104. accessory significantly higher (17 18) than (11 studies (P = .04). Both techniques 27 29 stenoses (sensitivity, 93%; P > .05). Sensitivities, specificities, accuracies diagnosis hemodynamically significant stenosis (> 50% narrowing) were, respectively, 94%, 96%, 96% for 100%, 97%, 98% .05).Gadolinium-enhanced is superior depiction. No statistically difference assessment has been found between two techniques.
