ABSTRACT
Quantification of phosphate ions in water ecosystems is crucial for maintaining a healthy aquatic environment and optimizing aquaculture parameters. While cobalt (Co) thin film modified electrodes are widely used as sensors, their selectivity stability often require improvements on-site measurement. The present work addresses this challenge by introducing novel sensing platform utilizing Cobalt-Molybdenum (Co-Mo) alloy deposited on copper substrate. developed Co-Mo sensor exhibited good thermal (up to 60 °C) significantly improved the detection ranges (10 −6 M 10 −2 M). influence electrolyte pH temperature toward potentiometric were investigated conditions optimized improve sensitivity. showed sensitivity −56 mV.dec −1 with correlation coefficient (0.988). limit was determined be 0.987 μM relative standard deviation (RSD) 1.3% (n = 3). negligible interference even presence 10-fold excess concentrations common interfering analytes, demonstrating its robust performance real-world environment. To validate field practicality, sensor’s successfully tested real shrimp culture samples, compatibility complex environmental matrices.
