ABSTRACT
Abstract This work reports the galvanostatical electrodeposition of Pd and Sb‒Pd catalysts on rotating glassy carbon (GC) electrode using surfactant-free electrolytes prepared were tested is electro-oxidation reactions in alkaline solutions. Characterization was performed with scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) photoelectron (XPS) technique. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) chronoamperometry applied order to study electrocatalytic behavior ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) solution containing Na+ or Li+ cations from point impact selected alkali metal activity. The peak current EOR at 2.5 times higher compared values obtained cations. starts rather negative potentials LiOH regarding NaOH for approximately 0.03 V indicating active role OHad nature which consequently arises formation ‒ cation clusters. Sb bimetallic catalyst established by adjusting extent persistence surface coverage.
