ABSTRACT
We have examined the nutritional and insulin regulation of mRNA expression transmembrane fatty acid (FA) transporters [FA transport protein-1 (FATP1) CD36] together with lipoprotein lipase (LPL), cytosolic FA carrier binding protein (FABP3), mitochondrial FA-CoA -carnitine palmitoyl transferase carriers (CPT)1 -2 in Atlantic salmon tissues myocyte cell culture. Two weeks fasting diminished FATP1, CD36, LPL adipose tissue, suggesting a reduction uptake, while FABP3 increased liver, probably enhancing to mitochondria. Insulin injection decreased FATP1 CD36 white red muscles, both were upregulated tissue agreement role insulin-inhibiting muscle oxidation stimulating fat stores. Serum deprivation 48 h myotubes FABP3, CPT-2, CPT-1 was diminished. In myotubes, induced but LPL, that could be more involved insulin-stimulated uptake. uptake mediated, at least part, through relocation plasma membrane. Overall, are regulated by on vivo vitro models.
