ABSTRACT
The rev-erbAalpha orphan protein belongs to the steroid nuclear receptor superfamily. No ligand has been identified for this protein, and little is known of its function in development or physiology. In study, we focus on 1) distribution adult fast- slow-twitch skeletal muscles muscle fibers 2) how influences myosin heavy chain (MyHC) isoform expression mice heterozygous (+/-) homozygous (-/-) a null allele. fast-twitch extensor digitorum longus muscle, was linked fiber type; however, MyHC did not differ between wild-type, +/-, -/- mice. soleus link more complex than longus. Here, significantly higher relative amount beta/slow (type I) observed both +/- vs. that shown wild-type controls. A role ratio thyroid hormone proteins alpha1 alpha2 modulating can be ruled out because no differences were seen alpha2-deficient (heterozygous homozygous) Therefore, our data are compatible with playing an important regulation expression.
