ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the role afferent input from lung and lower airways in magnitude estimation inspiratory resistive loads (R). To assess vagal afferents respiratory sensation, sensations related R, reflected by subjects' percentage handgrip responses (HG%), were compared between double-lung transplant (DLT) recipients with normal function healthy control (Nor) subjects. Perceptual sensitivity external load measured as slope HG% a peak mouth pressure (Pm), after log-log transformation. results showed that DLT group had similar response, well slopes log HG%-log Pm Nor group. Furthermore, ventilatory also two groups. These suggest do not play significant humans.
