ABSTRACT
We observed the effect of scalp point cluster-needling treatment on learning and memory function neurotransmitter levels in rats with vascular dementia (VD). Permanent ligation bilateral carotid arteries was used to create VD rat model. A Morris water maze measure rats' function, changes hippocampus were analyzed. The results show that can increase model's score. score significantly different when compared sham operation group (P < 0.05). Hippocampal acetylcholine (ACh), dopamine (DA), 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT) concentrations decreased Compared model group, group's ACh concentration markedly increased DA 5-HT as well. In conclusion, improve rats, its may be related an release.
