ABSTRACT
Objective. To report a case of unusually widespread sporadic venous malformations the head and neck associated with normal D-dimer levels and, due to protean clinical manifestations increased risk coagulopathy these lesions, review their diagnosis management. Case Report. A 25-year-old man presented one-year history intermittent right-sided swelling tongue swelling. Physical exam revealed additional lesions present throughout neck. There was no family suggestive heritable vascular malformations. Radiographic imaging demonstrated 15 located in various tissue layers consistent coagulation screen showed prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin international normalized ratio, level, fibrinogen level. It determined that patient not at for intraoperative preoperative heparin administration would be necessary. The patient's buccal were subsequently excised complications. also underwent sclerotherapy evaluation his mass. Conclusion. This describes unique presentation multifocal emphasizes importance prompt workup when multiple are prevent morbidity during surgical excision secondary intravascular coagulopathy.
