ABSTRACT

Summary of tumor behavior in differentially tolerant animal models. A, Xenoantigen-bearing cells implanted orthotopically into immune-deficient mice typically grow and metastasize as expected can be easily observed with fluorescence/bioluminescence. B, Conversely, immune-competent animals the presence foreign immunogens often results complete rejection primary tumor, or severely restricts expression immunogenic antigens limits utility reporter proteins. C, However, NoGlow are to GFP, Luciferase, rtTA, thus allowing growth de novo metastasis xenoantigen-expressing cells.
