ABSTRACT
Metabolic syndrome is a growing global health problem. Long-term treatment for metabolic causes side effects. Therefore, the use of nutraceuticals could also be considered. This study analyzed effect administration striped catfish oil and turmeric extract on tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) in rats. was induced rats by high fat fructose diet (HFFD) containing 3 g pork (15%), 2 duck egg yolk (10%), 15 standard (75%), ml (1%). Thirty were randomized into five groups: C1 (normal control group), C2 (metabolic group without treatment), P1 (striped at 0.08 ml/200 BW/day), P2 (turmeric 5.04 mg/kg P3 (combination gBW/day BW/day). There significant decrease (p<0.05) TNF-α HOMA-IR groups (P1, P2, P3) compared to C2. The had lowest levels. Treatment same potential reducing HOMA-IR. Striped oil, extract, their combination reduce inflammation
