ABSTRACT
Translational medicine research needs a two-way information highway between 'bedside' and 'bench'. Unfortunately there are still weak links successfully integrated roads for bench, i.e. networks, bedside, regional or national health systems. The question arises, what measures have to be taken overcome the deficiencies. It is examined how patient care-related costs of clinical can separated shared by insurances, whether quality care data sufficient research, identity maintained without conflict privacy, records archived, systems integrated.Since trials improve care, insurers share parts costs. Quality has improved introducing minimum basic sets. Pseudonymization solves privacy. Archiving similar XML CDISC used. Principles networking infrastructures differ. They bridged first harmonized later. To link (bed) (bench) technical as well economic organizational regulations.
