ABSTRACT
Heterotopic pregnancy is a rare obstetrics phenomenon and carries significant maternal morbidity mortality due to the risk of rupture ectopic pregnancy. Physicians tend feel comfortable relieved when an intrauterine gestation sac seen. This results in inadequate inspection adnexae remaining structures during emergency bedside ultrasound despite strong initial clinical suspicion We present case report ruptured massive hemoperitoneum patient with heterotopic The diagnosis was done on ultrasonography clinically unstable 32-year-old history infertility. She presented acute abdominal pain, body weakness, amenorrhea. underwent laparotomy salpingectomy. In our context where not readily available, practitioners carrying out salpingectomy for pregnancies should bear mind plausibleness properly handle uterus.
