ABSTRACT
To compare the feasibility and accuracy of three injection techniques for entering superior joint space swine temporomandibular (TMJ).Nine were used this study, in which 500 μL colored dye was injected into both TMJs each swine. Three used: posterior (PI), anterosuperior (ASI), lateral (LI) techniques. Each technique performed on six TMJs. Swine sacrificed immediately after head dissected order to observe distribution. Injection considered successful if no could be observed outside space. The PI all (success rate: 100%), LI out 50%), ASI two 33%); differences statistically significant (chi-square test, P < .05).The more accurate than or accessing TMJ space.
