ABSTRACT
Recurrent supraventricular tachycardia is a frequent complication in patients with the Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. Our patient was unusual that arrhythmia predominant rhythm, and it felt sustained responsible for signs symptoms of congestive heart failure. The could not be controlled adequately digitalis, quinidine, diphenylhydantoin, or propranolol. Atrial ventricular pacing also failed to prevent recurrent episodes tachycardia. Physiological pharmacological studies suggested an anomalous pathway WPW abnormality participated re-entrant circuit which Isopotential body surface mapping excitation at lateral aspect right atrioventricular groove. Epicardial time surgery used localize earliest area activation, surgical transection junction point abolished electrocardiographic features Five months after neither ECG nor has recurred. failure have subsided, returned work.
