ABSTRACT
Knowledge about the volume of collateral flow provides insight into severity coarctation aorta and may be critical in planning operative approach. There is currently no method for quantification aorta. In this study, we applied velocity encoded cine magnetic resonance imaging (VENC-MR) to establish pattern descending thoracic normal subjects patients with coarctation, introducing a new possibility quantify by determining amount flow.VENC-MR was used measure proximal distal 10 subjects. 23 measured near site above diaphragm.
