ABSTRACT
Introduction: Despite advances in atrial fibrillation (AF) management, patients with AF continue to experience poor quality of life and adverse outcomes. Engagement patients, caregivers, clinicians identify challenges management can inform strategies improve related Methods: We conducted virtual Human Centered Design (HCD) sessions a) their caregivers understand living AF, b) caring for difficulties encountered management. During HCD sessions, we engaged participants answer open-ended questions. Transcripts audio recorded were coded emerging themes identified. Results: 8 (25% African American, 13% Asian), 3 7 participated sessions. Median (interquartile range) patient age was 69 years (58 - 78). Major from the caregiver perspective included inadequate education on lack guidance risk factor modification, support networks, absence systems guide when experiencing recurrent episodes. clinician complementary input. Themes due limited time spend modification programs, streamlined services allow timely communication without increasing administrative burden physicians (Figure 1). Conclusions: A diverse group identified adequate education, as well poorly structured patient-clinician major care. Our findings are informing development mobile health application addressing a goal
