ABSTRACT
Research Objective: Translating evidence into practice and communities is a complex process that often takes years. The shifting healthcare landscape from volume- to value-based demands learning health systems shift more rapid uptake of evidence. field dissemination implementation (D&I) science seeks inform how evidence-based interventions can be successfully adopted, implemented maintained in care delivery community settings. A significant challenge implementing finding researchers the workforce trained equipped with skills do so real world This compounded by fact there are limited highly competitive opportunities for training D&I. Thus, curriculum certificate program, Training Implementation: Actionable Approaches (TIARA) was developed provide providers Study Design: Two projects being regionally across multiple hospitals. Prior projects' implementation, TIARA launched. consists four components: 1) completing module sessions national leader; 2) pre- post-knowledge assessment, 3) participation at forums on topics, 4) compiling Project Summary assignment. Population Studied: participants came 14 regional hospitals, 4 payer organizations, 2 state hospital associations, local public departments, 9 based 3 academic institutions. Over 120 individuals participated modules. Principal Findings: In late 2019, 16 completed requirements for, received, Certificates. 60 percent said their level D&I expertise increased after taking part training. Across all eight competencies science, an average points 1-10 point Likert scale. Evaluations demonstrated high levels satisfaction relevance, helpfulness program profession (average 4.2 1-5 scale). Participants also showed content each frequency communication 4.6 Certificate contributed 6 grant submissions, real-world projects, publications and/or presentations. Conclusions: There unmet need expand skills, through both theoretical practical training, organizations reach broader researchers, providers, administrators. one promising train, support, encourage these stakeholders.
