ABSTRACT
Objetive: To describe the main results from implementation of Telestroke 2.0 in Catalonia. Methods: The network consists 12 community hospitals and an expert stroke neurologist 24h/7d, covering a population 1.3 million inhabitants. It includes two-way videoconferencing system visualization neuroimaging on web platform. evaluates patient decides therapeutic approach and/or transfer to another facility, entering these data mandatory registry (TICAT). Simultaneously, all patients treated locally with reperfusion therapies centers Catalonia are also prospectively recorded (SONIIA). Results: From March-2013 December-2015, 1206 were evaluated through network. Final diagnosis was: 951 ischemic, 51 TIA, 85 intracranial hemorrhages 119 different stroke. Transfer center was avoided 46.8% 76.5% TIAs 23.5% hemorrhages. A total 322 received rtPA (33.8% ischemic). Compared those who (2897 same period Catalonia), door-to-needle time(minutes) longer (55[45-70] versus 44[32-59]), this time progressively reduced 2013 2015 (59[53- 82] 40[50-60], p<0.001). Baseline 24h NIHSS, rate symptomatic hemorrhage, mRS at 3m percentage receiving rescue thrombectomy similar both groups. Population fibrinolysis /100.000 inhabitants increased 2012 2015. Conclusions: favors therapy safely effectively, avoiding large number secondary transfers other
