ABSTRACT
Background and Purpose: Thrombolysis can improve outcome in patients with acute ischemic stroke. However, recanalization is not always complete persisting cerebral vascular occlusion >50% of despite treatment. Properties the formed thrombus may influence thrombolysis efficiency impede success. Here we examine whether differences thrombin generation are associated unfavourable treated Methods: Two cohorts stroke were recruited (cohort 1 n=36 patients, cohort 2 n= 42). Thrombin was determined by assay related to at 90-days modified Rankin Scale (mRS). The relationship concentration clot lysis rate examined vitro. Inflammatory factors increased also identified. Results: An increase peak 90-day thrombolysis. In 1, mRS£2 had a mean 208.4nM compared 255.5nM those mRS>2 (p=0.019). 2, 211.1nM 251.6nM vitro , an slowed tPA. stroke, plasma interleukin (IL)-6, interleukin-8 decrease a2-macroglobulin. IL-6 found via monocyte tissue factor. Conclusions: Increased on admission 90 days patients. Higher properties, reducing effectiveness thrombolysis, impairing recanalization. Further understanding regarding necessary enhance further outcomes
