Analyzing China’s research collaboration with the United States in high-impact and high-technology research

Abstract This study investigates China’s international research collaboration with the United States through a bibliometric analysis of coauthorship over time using historical publication data. We investigate from three perspectives: overall, high-impact, and high-technology collaborations data Web Science (WoS), Nature Index, Technology Alert List maintained by U.S. Department State. The results show that is largest collaborator in all aspects, China are each other’s primary collaborators much time. From perspective, we have found weakening past 2 years. In terms high-impact collaboration, has historically shared higher percentage its than vice versa. research, situation reversed, sharing more. States’ been continuously increasing 10 years, while relatively stable.
