New lectotypifications and new synonyms in Festuca (Poaceae, Pooideae, Loliinae) from the Central Andes

ABSTRACT
New lectotypifications and new synonyms are provided as a result of systematic study the genus Festuca from Central Andes. In Andes mountains Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, several species dominant components grasslands high Andean steppes. circinata F. dissitiflora occur in this area were described based on morphological characters. Some authors have considered valid while others treated it synonym dissitiflora, together with var. loricata , villipalea, erecta aristulata. study, review taxonomy nomenclature castilloniana, circinata, potosiana was performed, their anatomical characters compared dissitiflora. Based morphoanatomical epidermal characters, contributes to delimitation Nomenclatural notes descriptions included for these species. Differential between discussed is restored Argentina. castilloniana synonymised under loricata, aristulata excluded synonymy suggested that names should be subordinate fiebrigii. stuckertii proposed uninodis. Lectotypes designated argentinensis, nemoralis parodii, second-step lectotypes ampliflora.
