ABSTRACT
Daviesia is a clade of scleromorphic shrubs that are endemic to Australia and its near offshore islands, where it the largest genus Fabaceae subfam. Faboideae, with 131 species recognised here. The distributed throughout continent occurs in all major habitats except wetlands, rainforest alpine zone. This first monograph published since Bentham’s 1864, which included only 55 species. New taxa described herein D. divaricata subsp. lanulosa, filipes terminalis, subulata, schwarzenegger scabrella. combinations change rank aphylla, decurrens hamata implexa, while devito raised from subspecies level given new epithet. A key subspecies, detailed comparative descriptions, phenology habitat information, as well line drawings or photographs, presented for Conservation status concern, mostly based on assessments by government agencies. molecular phylogenetic analysis using sequences chloroplast nuclear ribosomal DNA used arrange 13 unsequenced interpolated morphological similarity. Seven strongly supported clades seven well-supported subclades named informally reference discussion affinities, but not formally because they lack synapomorphies.
