<p><strong><em>Hohenbergia ituberaensis </em></strong><strong>(Bromeliaceae): a new white-flowered species from Bahia, Brazil</strong></p>

ABSTRACT
We describe a new species of Hohenbergia (Bromeliaceae) from Brazil, H. ituberaensis, rare species, so far only known Ituberá municipality, Bahia State, in an area the Atlantic Forest. The is similar to stellata, presenting pinkish inflorescence, congested and non-divided branches, large floral bracts hiding sepals, spatulate petals with slightly reflexed apex. However, it differs by white petals, as diagnostic characteristic. type specimen was collected small forest fragment here this categorized Vulnerable. Additionally, we compared belemii capitata, which are also due red/pinkish characteristics flowers well-developed bracts.
