<strong>Checklist, typifications, and nomenclatural notes on <em>Comolia</em> (Melastomataceae, Marcetieae)</strong>

Comolia is a neotropical genus currently represented by 10 accepted species. Since the description of genus, 47 names have been published within it. When investigating these names, we found that some them needed to be typified. The aim present study was provide nomenclatural treatment for Comolia, including list all synonyms related its species, typifications and comments, when necessary. Thirteen lectotypes one neotype are designated here. Six were lectotypified using two illustrations. In addition, synonymized C. ovalifolia var. blanchetiana denudata under ovalifolia, typified Melastoma rhexioides exclude it from Comolia.
