ABSTRACT
Aubrieta birolmutlui is described as a new species from the eastern part of Turkey based on morphological and molecular data. The confined to limestone rock most similar A. macrostyla, but it differs by having only rosette-like basal leaves, larger entire leaves with sparse indumentum, bigger fruit short style. also close libanotica canescens according characters distinguishing its relatives are given in comparative table discussed. This species, closest relative taxa, some have been studied sequencing commonly used plastid markers genus, namely trnS- ycf9, trnL-F trnL intron. All sequences evaluated Maximum Likelihood Bayesian approaches results support delimitation. A detailed description, photographs habitat phylogenetic consensus tree provided herein. assigned CR threat category IUCN.
