ABSTRACT
João Barbosa Rodrigues, a renowned Brazilian botanist, spent years intensively studying Orchidaceae and Arecaceae oversaw two important institutions in Brazil: the Museu Botânico do Amazonas Jardim Rio de Janeiro.
