ABSTRACT
Aspidistra foetida, a new species of Asparagaceae from Guangxi, China, is described and illustrated. The similar to A. cruciformis, but differs by its leaf blade margin entire, flowers spread peculiar smell, perianth urceolate, lobes longer nearly equal the length tube, stigma smaller half width upper surface round densely purplish red finely papillose, shallowly 8 (6)-lobed at margin. currently known only Karst areas in eastern Guangxi. Detailed analytical colour plates line drawing, data on morphology, ecology, phenology, distribution, provisional conservation status are provided.
