ABSTRACT
A concise overview of the diversity and distribution Ephemeroptera Indian Himalaya, a global biodiversity hotspot, is presented. The current study summarizes seven Himalayan states India: Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Utter Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh. This documents 10 families, 34 genera, 89 species. total 57 species are considered endemic to region. richest reported from Pradesh maximum seen within three families genera. Updated information on Himalaya parts Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan China required comprehensively understand endemicity hotspot. Further, advance our knowledge region, synthesis taxonomy adults larvae with description all life history stages molecular phylogenetic framework urgently required.
