An annotated checklist of the marine brachyuran crabs occurring in India is compiled from published literature and augmented by collections between 2005 2015. A total 910 species belonging to 361 genera 62 families are herein listed Indian waters. Specimens representing 130 were obtained Gujarat state during 2015, which 23 new records two reported for first time west coast India. The highest number recorded Andaman Nicobar islands (588 species) while smallest Goa Karnataka (82 species). indicate that east India, with 803 species, more diverse than coast, has 446 species.
