ABSTRACT
Developing a cold thermal energy storage (CTES) technology is one of the most effective methods to solve shortage and environmental pollution all over world. The current study deals with modelling simulation tank consisting an polyvinyl chloride pipe (PVC) heat exchanger partially filled phase change material (PCM). Water, as transfer fluid (HTF), flows through inner tubes outer while propylene glycol fills. This paper focuses on studying effect velocity characteristics efficiency in system by numerical simulation. In this paper, detail performance within numerically solved using computational dynamics (CFD), for various well different optimal design. Several results changes temperature field at outlet are presented when inlet water from 1 m/s 1.4 m/s. indicate that low input will provide better exchange efficiency. However, it required make sure flow inside turbulent because uses modules.
