ABSTRACT
An integrating optimization procedure is presented to improve the von Mises stress and fatigue safety factor for a handlebar stem system in bicycle system. The involves uniform design of experiment, Kriging interpolation, genetic algorithm, nonlinear programming method. Using ANSYS/Workbench software ISO 4210 testing standard, lateral bending test simulation calculated. are combined into single integrated objective function, interpolation then used create surrogate model function. When used, function demonstrates that optimized reduced 225 MPa increases 1.796. This shows strength stem. proposed technique yields with an shape.
