ABSTRACT
The carbon nanotubes (CNTs) reinforced 2A70 alloy by the coating of ZrO 2 (ZrO @CNTs/2A70) are processed a hot extrusion process. microstructure and mechanical properties @CNTs/2A70 composites were investigated in this study. results show that second phase is broken uniformly dispersed under action shear force as well @CNTs reinforcement distributed along direction. process eliminates cast defects improves reinforcing phase's dispersion material's significantly improved. At ratio 25, exhibited notable enhancements their properties, evidenced significant increase hardness, yield strength (YS), ultimate tensile (UTS), elongation (EL), with respective values 141.7 HV, 237.4 MPa, 309.7 MPa 13.9%. These higher than those obtained from 17.5%, 20.0%, 20.9% 152.7%, respectively. fracture characteristics composite mainly ductile fractures. Besides, extruded strengthened grain refinement load transfer mechanism.
