ABSTRACT
Wire electrical discharge machining is an unconventional technology used in many industries. The machinability analysis of the newly-created materials crucial for their future with given technology. For analysis, influence parameters, namely pulse off time, gap voltage, current, on time and wire feed, was investigated a planned experiment 33 rounds. Both cutting speed roughness were analysed. surface morphology machined pieces examined electron microscopy subsurface layer cross-sectioning samples. A lamella made transmission to perform detailed chemical content. There no sample that would not result cracks 20–30 µm depth. These let us assume service life parts this way will be limited. Multi-criteria optimisation find optimum which allows reach 3.2 mm/min Ra 2.1 µm.
