ABSTRACT
Google Scholar has become an important search platform for students in higher education, and, as such, can be regarded a competitor to university libraries. Previous research explored students’ intention use (GS) and University Digital Libraries (UDLs), but there is lack of comparative studies that explore preferences between these two platforms. Therefore, this study seeks the behaviour select group users, international postgraduate more specifically compares factors influence their (UDLs). A questionnaire-based survey, based on UTAUT model (unified theory acceptance technology) was conducted collect data technology GS UDL’s respectively. Data collected from 400 studying United Kingdom. Confirmatory factor analysis used establish contextual influencing factors, whilst structural equation modelling examined predicted model. The results suggest some differences various UDL dataset datasets. They social (SI) did not affect behavioural (BI) either set, dataset, effort expectancy BI, whereas facilitating conditions BI. approach taken further facilitates into tools progress beyond ease main driver relationship internal external influences use. Recommendations are suggested value insights gained UDLs provision support all discussed.
