ABSTRACT
To report the occurrence of nimesulide-induced acute hepatitis confirmed by biopsy and an in vitro lymphocyte toxicity assay.A 54-year-old Arabic woman treated with nimesulide for chronic low back pain was admitted to hospital biopsy. Her liver function test results returned normal within one month after discontinuation. An assay that injury due exposure.A case secondary nimesulide, a laboratory assay, is described. Although clinically significant damage nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) low, enormous consumption these has made them important cause damage. Nimesulide, relatively new NSAID commonly used Europe, relative selectivity cyclooxygenase type 2, can wide range injuries, from mild abnormal severe injuries. These effects are usually reversible on discontinuation drug, but occasionally progress fatal hepatic failure.Drug-induced well-recognized adverse effect many drugs, including nimesuilde. Identification drug as this life-threatening disease because it may be life saving. This article confirms hepatitis. It also highlights importance monitoring initiating therapy such drug.
