ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Pluripotency, the property of a cell to differentiate into all cellular types given organism, is central development stem cell-based therapies and regenerative medicine. Stem pluripotency result orchestrated activation complex transcriptional network characterized by expression set transcription factors including master regulators Nanog Oct4. Recently, it has been shown that can be induced in somatic cells viral-mediated Oct3/4, Sox2, Klf4, c-Myc. Results Here we show 5-Aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide-1-b-riboside (AICAR) able activate molecular circuitry mouse embryonic (mESC) maintain Oct4 mESC exposed differentiating agent retinoic acid. We also AICAR induce Klf2 Myc both murine fibroblasts. Conclusion several key cells. therefore useful pharmacological entity for studying small molecule mediated induction pluripotency.
