ABSTRACT
Abstract The accurate performance evaluation of a cutterhead is essential to improving structure design and predicting project cost. Through extensive research, this paper evaluates the tunnel boring machine (TBM) for cutting ability slagging ability. This propose efficiency, stability, continuity as indexes comprehensive performance. On basis research true TBM engineering applications, proposes calculation method each index. A efficiency index with ratio maximum difference between amount average established. And stability fluctuation presented. Meanwhile, by weighed value multistage rock fragmentation cutter’s specific energy Robbins China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) cutterheads are evaluated. results show that under same thrust torque, CRCC scheme worse, but better. shows more efficient.
