ABSTRACT
We investigated the prevalence of post-procedural headache in patients who have undergone thrombectomy for ischemic stroke, and correlated history migraine with risk peri-procedural complications. A total 314 underwent at Danish National Hospital from January 2012 to December 2014. Eligible subjects were phone-interviewed using a purpose-developed semi-structured questionnaire according International Classification Headache Disorders 3, beta version criteria.Among 96 eligible subjects, there was significant decrease (p = 0.022) within first 3 months after EVT compared 1 year before treatment, which further evident interview time (on average 1.6 years EVT, p 0.013). minority experienced headaches their (migraine 2, TTH 9), persisted migraine. Out 12 complications, 2 had aura.Thrombectomy leads previously known migraine, new onset small subset patients. does not appear predispose
